Revenue Accountant

Summary of Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant on a 6-month contract (renewable based on business needs) to support our finance team in revenue recognition, contract management, billing, and reporting. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure revenue and related transactions are accurate, compliant, and timely.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Legal and Sales teams on contract review, negotiation, and drafting, providing finance insights (pricing, milestone billing, tax, liability).
• Constantly update revenue tracking sheet and follow up closely with project status to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to research and resolve any contract terms/billing discrepancies and disputes if any
• Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue recognition, reconciliation of deferred/unbilled revenue accounts in accordance with International Accounting Standards
• Compute monthly sales commission and issue the commission sheets
  
• Perform monthly short-term and long-term revenue and cash inflow forecast
• Support Finance Director with preparation of revenue metrics, profitability analysis, variance analysis as well as other finance matters, as required
• Participate in adhoc projects and recommend policies and procedures to ensure revenue and expenses are appropriately recorded
• Review existing processes to identify and drive process improvements
• Assist in budgeting, statutory audits, tax compliance, and other ad hoc projects as assigned
  

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent (Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent degree preferred)

Get Hired
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in revenue accounting within a technology/SaaS environment.
• Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) will be an added advantage
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its application; experience from an international firm or a top firm in India preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and hands-on experience in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
• Diligent, highly efficient, and accurate with extreme attention to details
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and manage changing priorities.
• Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
