The Role: Manager - Finance (Controllership)

Were looking for someone who has owned finance operations end-to-end in a fast-paced environment, and can balance rigour with speed. Youll work closely with founders and business teams, ensuring that finance is not just compliant but adds value to company decision making.

What Youll Own

1. Core Accounting & Closures

• Own end-to-end accounting operations—transaction posting, reconciliations, and ledger hygiene
• Drive fast and accurate monthly closures with high data reliability
• Ensure books are maintained in line with Ind AS, without slowing down business velocity

2. Business-Focused MIS & Insights

• Go beyond reporting—build MIS that actually drives decisions
• Identify trends, gaps, and inefficiencies across business lines
• Partner with teams to improve financial discipline and visibility

3. Compliance & Audit Readiness

• Ensure compliance across GST, TDS, and all regulatory requirements
• Own audit readiness—clean documentation, zero surprises
• Work closely with auditors and consultants, but not depend on them

4. Cash Flow & Fund Management

• Actively manage cash flows, runway, and liquidity
• Build forward-looking cash forecasts and scenario plans
• Support fundraising with sharp financial inputs and data

5. Systems & Process Building

• Build and improve finance processes as the company scales
• Implement systems and controls that dont break under growth
• Reduce manual dependencies through automation and better workflows

6. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor junior team members and raise the bar on execution
• Work cross-functionally with business, ops, and leadership teams

Who This Is For

• CA with 4–7 years of experience
• Has worked in a startup / high-growth company OR has transitioned from Big 4 into an operating role
• Has closed books independently
