About the job:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Functional QA Senior Software Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, with strong proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, integrations, and forms testing. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, executing, and automating test cases for Guidewire-based insurance solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets the needs of our P&C insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software testing principles, extensive hands-on experience with Guidewire testing, and a strong passion for driving quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans with the functional test design & execution approach.
• Develop test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Execute test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure accurate testing.
• Logging defects, retesting the defects, re-executing failed test cases, and tracking defects for closure.
• Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Guidewire Policy, Billing system testing, and P&C insurance.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter, Automation.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire technologies, including Guidewire Policy, Billing, and Underwriting, is highly desirable.
• Guidewire automation using any automation framework/tool.

• Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen diligence.
• Experience working in an Agile environment following an onsite-offshore mode.
• Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles.
