Were first taking on the Indian diaspora - the largest and wealthiest immigrant population. 15 million Non-Resident Indians hold over $1.5T in wealth of which $500B is back in India. They remit $125B back every year and account for 25% of all real estate purchases in India. Yet, the banking experiences of these NRIs are archaic. Were building a new age platform to service these NRIs with cross border money movement.

About The Role
At Vance, we are on a mission to provide seamless, borderless banking for NRIs. As a Finance Controller at Vance, youll play a critical role in managing our global financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements across our international entities. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where youll leverage cutting-edge financial tools and practices to drive strategic decision-making.

• Location: In-Person, Bangalore
• Preferred Background: Experience in finance roles within fintech or international payments industries is preferred.
  

What Youll Own

• Compliance & Reporting: Manage all compliance-related activities, including supporting audits, creating financial statements, and maintaining accurate books of accounts using Zoho.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement streamlined processes for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial Stability: Oversee working capital, cash flow, and treasury management, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial health across international operations.
• Forex & Hedging: Manage forex transactions and implement hedging strategies to minimize currency risks and protect profitability.
• Strategic Financial Support: Provide financial insights and support to leadership teams for business decision-making, contributing to the overall strategy.
• Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on international financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that Vance adheres to the highest standards.
  

What We Need

• Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant).
• 3 - 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally with exposure to international payments, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Strong proficiency in Zoho or similar accounting software. SQL skills for data analysis and financial reporting are preferred.
• A street-smart approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate complex financial challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with global stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required to support business operations.
