Accountant

Position Summary
We are seeking a General Ledger Specialist to join our growing Global India Finance Team. This full-time position will be responsible for a broad range of corporate finance responsibilities across the globe, including supporting local financial and accounting reporting, oversight of daily operations for regional entities, and assisting with preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and journal postings, among other duties.
This individual will report to our GL Team Manager- GIFT. The team that this role is a part of is primarily based out of India.
Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for the income statement accounts, such as pass-through, credit card, and overheads.
• Prepare journal entries relating to accruals, prepayments, and depreciation with the guidance of appropriate supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and fixed asset workings.
• Assist in preparing month-on-month variance analysis for income statement.
• Perform monthly reconciliation for intercompany accounts and ensure the intercompany balances are correct.
• Manage journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings.
• 
  Manage and update the Fixed Assets register.
• Provide ongoing maintenance of key finance trackers.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with internal Finance stakeholders and generally respond to all inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Execute global bank account reconciliations.
• Assist with preparing local month-end processes, including maintaining the day-to-day journal entries and bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist with process improvements and automation projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a general accounting role.

• Technology-literate, including Microsoft Suite and NetSuite.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and juggle various tasks.
• Ability to take ownership and carry accountability even when working closely with the team.
