What You’ll Be Doing…
As part of the Financial Planning & Analytical Services (FPAS) Run & Operate team you will be helping the reporting and accounting teams in delivering world class automated solutions with zero touch for all of Verizon entities. In this role, you will interact with finance teams working across Verizon, bringing new automated solutions to life for our month end financial close and reporting activities. This is not limited to automations, but also includes data visualization of financial statements like Profit & Loss for different organizations of Verizon.

• Support Finance BUs (Business Units) in reporting and automations to drive efficiencies.
• Ensure we deliver best-in-class end to end automated solutions for our stakeholders.
• Document the processes to ensure accuracy across the enterprise and have change control in place.
• Collaborate with Corporate Support Group (CSG) for deployment of Qlik Applications in production environments and resolve any production issues with existing Qlik applications.
• Executive reporting will be a key activity which needs to be delivered with 100% quality.
  

What we’re looking for…
You are a strong collaborator who can effectively own and prioritize multiple work streams as well as to adapt during sometimes pressured situations. You display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals, but are also comfortable in brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to partner across multiple business and finance teams with minimal guidance. You should have a strong Finance report automations and Business Intelligence/Analytics experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analytics) teams but not limited to this function. You need to have attention to details, adaptable to change and tight deadlines, and strongly focused on quality of deliverables. Ability to mine, extract, transform, load large data sets of financial data and create zero touch financial reports.

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
• One or more years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of report automation tools and technologies.
• Experience with Qlik Sense and QVD generations from different data sources
• Experience in Essbase, SQL and SQL performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Google Suite and database management systems.
• Experience with dashboard creation with insightful visualization.
• Knowledge of OneJira or any ticketing tool.
• Knowledge of end-to-end ETL process (Knime Analytics Platform, Alteryx etc..)
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Vizlib Library experience in Qlik Sense will be an added advantage
• Experience with any third-party reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau).
• Exposure to GCP Big Query, Teradata database.
• Basic knowledge programming languages (e.g., VBA/Python/Google App Scripting).
• Ability to derive insights from data and recommend action.
