Job Description
- Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Vertafore, you will be embedded in an energetic mobile agile team of Software and QA Engineers, leading the team in creating mobile software products utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Your role will involve designing mobile applications, developing new features, supporting existing features, troubleshooting issues across the whole stack, and mentoring other team members. You will be instrumental in achieving the company's vision through active mentoring, technical decision-making, and facilitating collaboration. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing productivity, innovation, and success within the company's fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new features and support/bug fix existing features
- Troubleshoot issues across the whole stack including OS, DB, applications, JavaScript, and network
- Mentor other team members and share knowledge
- Follow industry trends and engage with the open-source community
- Design mobile applications and flexible services utilizing cutting-edge technologies
- Lead teams to achieve the company's vision through active mentoring and technical decision-making
- Collaborate with peers to design pragmatic solutions
- Prepare technical training and information sessions for other staff
Qualifications:
- 3.5 to 5 years of experience in Java technologies, with a minimum of 3 years as a Java full-stack developer with React JS
- Hands-on experience in Java and React JS
- Experience in implementing Microservices and API Architecture
- Proficiency in writing and analyzing complex SQL queries
- Strong understanding of unit testing
