Role: Data Engineer - Contract (Remote)

We are hiring an experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on scalable data platforms, building reliable pipelines, and owning end-to-end data workflows in a modern cloud environment.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines using Fivetran and Snowflake, ensuring high-quality, secure, and performant data delivery for analytics and business use cases. You will collaborate closely with analytics, product, and business teams while working independently in a fast-paced, remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Fivetran for data ingestion from multiple sources
• 
  Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, and warehouses for performance and scalability
• Write efficient and complex SQL queries for transformations, validations, and analytics use cases
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance, reliability, and cost
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and best practices across the data platform
• Work with cloud-based data ecosystems and modern data stack tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Fivetran and Snowflake

  SQL skills with experience in performance tuning
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
