About The Role
As the CFO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and driving strategic financial decisions. Your role will be crucial in guiding the company through its next stage of growth, including future fundraising efforts, scaling operations, and expanding our market reach.
You will collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to shape the financial strategy, ensure fiscal responsibility, and support the companys long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights and guidance to support business decisions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the companys growth objectives, ensuring long-term financial health and sustainability.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Lead the companys fundraising efforts, including preparing financial models, pitches, and investor materials.
- Manage relationships with existing investors and engage with potential new investors, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
- Oversee financial due diligence processes, ensuring the company is well-prepared for audits and investor scrutiny.
- Support the companys global expansion efforts by developing financial models and strategies that account for scaling in different markets.
- Provide financial oversight for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, including valuation, negotiation, and integration.
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
- Work closely with HR and operations to ensure financial alignment with talent acquisition, compensation, and global workforce management.
- Financial Acumen:
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a deep understanding of SaaS business models.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Global Financial Operations:
- Experience managing financial operations for a company with a global footprint, including multi-currency accounting and international compliance.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations and standards, with the ability to navigate complex legal and tax environments.
- Fundraising Expertise:
- Proven experience in raising capital at the Series A or Series B stage, preferably within the SaaS or technology sectors.
- Strong network of investor contacts and experience managing investor relations.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
- Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail, capable of turning data into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising, financial strategy development, and global financial operations management.
