Role Description
The Assistant Manager HR will lead the TA and HR Ops function at VMax Wellness, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while supporting overall people strategy. This is an on-site leadership role based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, ideal for an HR professional with 6 6 15 years of experience. The role involves driving end-to-end talent acquisition, building strong people processes, and supporting key HR initiatives such as employee engagement, performance management, and compliance, contributing to a high-performing and motivated workforce.
Roles And Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for all functions, ensuring timely hiring of high-quality talent.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future business needs.
- Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies, employee referral programs, and employer branding initiatives.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand skill requirements and plan recruitment drives.
- Ensure an efficient selection process, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that foster motivation, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct periodic employee feedback sessions and implement actionable improvements.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture that aligns with VMax Wellness99s values.
- Recognize and celebrate employee achievements to reinforce a performance-oriented culture.
- Support managers in goal setting, performance evaluation, and development planning.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate learning & development programs to enhance employee growth.
- Monitor performance improvement plans (PIPs) and provide guidance for effective execution.
- Ensure smooth HR operations including onboarding, payroll, attendance, and exit processes.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain HR documentation, dashboards, and MIS reports for leadership review.
- Policy Formulation & Process Improvement
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Streamline HR processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Benchmark HR practices against industry standards and recommend improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and guide the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the HR function.

- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience & Expertise: Proven track record in strategic workforce planning, driving large-scale recruitment initiatives, and building high-performing teams.
- Recruitment Skills: Expertise in leading end-to-end hiring processes, building talent pipelines, and executing employer branding strategies.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop HR teams, while effectively collaborating with senior leadership.
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR operations, statutory compliance, and performance management frameworks.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in HRMS systems, recruitment platforms, and MS Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic exposure to HR leadership and cross-functional business collaboration.
