About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Architecture Platform Engineer to support the development, operation, and optimisation of the IT Enterprise Architecture Repository Alfabet. This role is critical in ensuring the platforms availability, performance, and compliance, while also driving automation, integration, and cost efficiency. The individual will collaborate closely with the on-site Application Owner and provide technical leadership in enhancing the platforms capabilities and user experience.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, and extend the Alfabet platform, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Optimise AWS cloud infrastructure and develop automation solutions using AWS Lambda, Python, and SQL.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu and Terragrunt.
• Administer Windows systems and automate tasks using PowerShell.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, execute patching processes, and manage certifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain system integrations with internal and external platforms.
• Monitor system performance, usage metrics, and proactively address operational issues.
• Analyse and optimise cloud costs for efficient resource utilisation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and a self-service knowledge portal.
• Support data quality and advancement of the Alfabet platform in coordination with stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and consulting to Alfabet users, including presentations to senior leadership.

Who you are

• Experienced in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, and application development.
• Proficient in AWS Lambda, Python, SQL, and PowerShell scripting.
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/OpenTofu and Terragrunt.
• Knowledgeable in Windows system administration and cloud cost optimisation.
• Familiar with compliance, security processes, and monitoring tools.
• Capable of designing and managing system integrations.
• Strong communicator with experience in user coaching and stakeholder engagement.
• Committed to maintaining high-quality documentation and knowledge sharing.
