Job Description
- Voicecare AI is a Healthcare Administration General Intelligence (HAGI) company dedicated to the back-office and the RCM industry. The company's focus is on developing a safety-oriented conversational language model for the healthcare sector to enhance access, adherence, and outcomes for both patients and healthcare professionals through generative AI applications. Voicecare AI is a venture-backed organization that collaborates with key healthcare stakeholders nationwide.
As the Head of Interoperability & Integrations at Voicecare AI, you will have a pivotal role in spearheading the future of interoperability for cutting-edge AI-driven health tech solutions. This position, located in Bangalore and reporting directly to the executive leadership, presents a unique opportunity for autonomy and involvement with groundbreaking technologies like GenAI.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Interoperability Strategy & Roadmap:
- Crafting and implementing a comprehensive interoperability strategy that aligns with customer requirements, healthcare regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Leading the vision and execution of system integrations, external API strategies, and data exchange protocols such as FHIR and HL7.
- Developing a scalable and secure integration infrastructure roadmap to facilitate swift onboarding of enterprise health systems and third-party partners.
Technical Leadership & Execution:
- Collaborating with engineering, product, and customer success teams to deliver seamless integrations of high-quality.
- Leading research and development initiatives into advanced technologies like GenAI, synthetic data pipelines, and real-time health data ingestion.
- Designing and expanding integration platforms to support EHRs, claims engines, health information exchanges, and patient-facing applications.
Innovation & Standards:
- Promoting the adoption of interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, X12, SMART on FHIR, and contributing to scalable internal frameworks.
- Assessing and implementing contemporary data exchange patterns including event-driven architectures, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and bulk data exchange.
- Keeping abreast of policy changes, compliance mandates, and evolving data models within the healthcare landscape.
Key Requirements:
- Strong expertise in healthcare interoperability standards and technologies like FHIR, HL7v2, CDA, CCD, X12, EDI, OAuth2, and SMART on FHIR.
- Experience with integration engines such as Mirth Connect, Redox, Rhapsody, InterSystems Ensemble, EHR APIs like Epic, Cerner, and iPaaS platforms.

- Proficiency in cloud-native development (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, and microservices-based architecture.
- Excellent scripting and development skills in Python, Java, Node.js, Go with a focus on scalable services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years in healthcare technology, integration, or platform engineering roles.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or architectural role with a direct focus on interoperability or integrations.
- Prior involvement with health tech startups or scaling enterprise B2B platforms is advantageous.
- Bonus points for experience in GenAI research or productization within a healthcare context.
- Candidates based in Bangalore or open to relocation are preferred for this role.,
