Position Description

Electro-mobility is one of the fast-growing and a key focus area within Volvo Group, which is at the forefront of sustainable transport solutions for tomorrow.

We deliver modular electro-mobility systems across the Volvo Group business Areas TRUCK, BUS, Construction Equipment and PENTA.

EMOB Data analytics team in Bangalore is looking for a Data Scientist who will play a major role towards data driven product development and enable services.

Ownership

• Managing stakeholders and work closely with cross-functional teams in understanding business & functional requirements
• Responsible for specific BEV product applications across the Group.
• Contribute to Groups aspiration towards data driven product development and services.
• Interpreting requirements and perform Data mining techniques.
• Apply Data Science in arriving at insights and use efficient visualization tools for communication.
• Provide insights with stories that convinces stakeholders.
• Way of working through Agile thereby promoting progressive, quick and innovative solution. Also, the freedom to fail and learn.
• Contributing to the culture of data driven development across the Group.
  

Required Skills

• 
  Masters in Electronics, IT or applicable engineering field
• 6+ years of experience in application of Data Science
• 3+ years experience Data driven development in EV driveline.
• Domain knowledge in Electric vehicles / Storage / Propulsion / Charging systems/ Software verification
• Proven skills in data mining, data preparation and data analysis
• Expertise in Data Visualization with Insights using Power BI, QlikView, etc.
• Expertise in managing/programming data through SQL, Python, Azure, Hadoop, etc.
• System thinking approach in problem solving.
• Proven skills in Leadership, Shake-holder management and Team-player.
