Job Description

Position Overview

Supporting & distribution function in the Finance department. Acting as the first point of contact for the Finance department 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Preparing and finalizing monthly revenue workings / welfare calculations and submitting to HKG team etc
  • Preparing excel spreadsheet for Seafarers Pre-joining expenses and processing vendor invoice in Eyeshare / D365 F&O
  • Checking of all pre-joining expenses for seafarers vessel nomination in Compas
  • Uploading pre-joining expenses in D365 F&O and preparing journal entries
  • Assisting other team staff for Disbursement account process / treasury process
  • Compiling & sending Monthly manning details (seafarers onboard)
  • Compiling & sending monthly Training Fund A/c (course fee / logistics costs)
  • Maintaining and reconciling data with WSM HK for DML, Type specific ECDIS course, Vessel specific courses & other costs
  • Handling various monthly / quarterly union payments (SWFS / NUSI)
  • Preparing and submitting ratings Provident Fund / Gratuity forms along with timely payment to Seafarers PF & Gratuity office
  • Maintaining income related records for Audit
  • Liaising with vendors for timely submission of invoices, reconciling the same and arranging settlement
  • Maintaining records for standby Seafarers all pre-joining expenses (Medical, Uniform, Visa, Flag state, Logistics) for forwarding data to crewing team for updating status of Seafarers joining the Vessel
  • Tracing costs incurred towards seafarers / vessels as and when requested by senior management
  • Back-up for Seasafe accounting / Treasury functions as and when required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship management and account development skills
  • Proficiency in coordinating and collaborating with internal teams to meet objectives
  • Familiarity with the maritime or shipping industry is a plus
  • Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in relevant field
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
