Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...

This position is responsible for finance partnering with business functions(Controllership/FP&A) through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
About Team:

Walmart Commercial Finance is important to influencing our strategic direction, monitoring financial performance, reviewing prospective opportunities and strategic adjustments, and driving leadership's performance versus plan analysis to identify improvement opportunities and financial success. We work with segment finance teams to develop and implement business strategies for meeting financial targets, managing performance, identifying concerns, and assessing plan variations to lead understanding and equip leaders to make decisions.
What you'll do:

  • As a member of Walmart’s finance organization, you will be responsible for finance business partnering with various finance functions and their leaders.

  • Ensuring all activities are performed on time with utmost accuracy

  • Design and implement forecast and performance management processes to institute rigor, accountability, and alignment across five business units in Walmart Ecommerce (includes Walmart.com, Online)

  • Responsible for providing financial support for planning and control and P&L management, consolidation and reporting of financial results.

  • Responsibilities will also include gathering, modeling, analyzing, and summarizing information into financial plans, operating forecasts on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

  • Prepare and provide recommendations based on analysis performed on various aspects of actual spend vs forecast/plans.

  • Perform expense analysis at cost center level, reconciliation of accounts, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

  • Identifying opportunities for automation and continuous process improvements through Power BI, Macros or other automation/analytical tools

  • Ensuring process documentation is always updated.


Stakeholder Management :

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders

  • Work independently with senior Finance stakeholders with minimum supervision.

  • Work closely with all stakeholders and look for opportunities to expand opportunities for EFO team

Shares information, practices, and resources across functions, organizations, and locations to improve performance. Effectively uses existing processes and tools to achieve performance objectives. Develops contingency plans to manage or eliminate potential problems. Identifies and recommends ways to continually improve and streamline processes and practices.
