CNC Machining Specialist | Precision Manufacturing

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC shop supervisor to join our growing team in Aligarh. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in operating and programming CNC VMC, CNC Turn-Mill, CNC WEDM, and CNC SEDM machines. This role demands a strong foundation in precision machining, shop floor documentation, and root cause analysis to ensure high-quality output and continuous process improvement.

Role & responsibilities

• 
  Operate, set up, and program CNC machines including: CNC Vertical Machining Centre (VMC), CNC Turn-Mill Centre, CNC Wire EDM (WEDM), CNC Sinker EDM (SEDM) to perform precision machining on complex components with tight tolerances.
• Oversee the management of raw materials, cutting tools, inserts, and shop consumables to ensure adequate stock levels without excess.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using standard metrology tools (micrometres, callipers, bore gauges, CMM operation a plus) to verify conformance to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Maintain and update shop floor documentation including: Process Sheets / Operation Sheets, Tooling Sheets, Machine Setup Sheets, Inspection Reports, In-process Quality Checklists, Maintenance Logs, NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) Reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis for machining defects and process deviations.
• Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) for CNC machines and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Collaborate with design and quality teams to optimize machining processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and operators as needed.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 56 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining operations.
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, surface finish requirements, and material behaviour.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues independently.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
