Job Description
Withum is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to join its team in India. Under the direction of the Director of Learning & Development, and in close collaboration with the US-based Global Learning & Development team and L&D colleagues in India, the Learning & Development Manager - India will partner closely with the India Talent team to understand and address the training needs of more than 800 team members across Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. This role serves as the lead for training initiatives supporting the Audit and Tax teams in India and plays a key role in driving impactful learning programs aligned with the firms strategy, technical capability development, and professional growth.
The individual who assumes this role will collaborate with team members in both the US and India to ensure the development and delivery of internal training programs using a variety of learning delivery formats. He or she will work closely with curriculum, development, compliance, and instructional design teams to understand program objectives and needs to provide project, operations, compliance, and logistics management. This role interacts heavily with various team members, instructors, participants and other stakeholders including subject matter experts, partners/directors and other individuals across the firm and requires clear and effective written and oral communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Partner with the India based Talent team to ensure that all training programs in India align to the needs of team members in India. This will include both the India based annual rollout of flagship training programs delivered in both the US and India, and the implementation of India-specific training programs where needed and approved by global L&D leadership to meet training needs unique to the team in India.
- Communicate program objectives, timelines, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders across the firm.
- Serve as a resource to India Team members regarding required and recommended learning and development opportunities.
Program Execution
- Serve as the program owner for all learning initiatives in India, ensuring programs are delivered effectively and aligned with global L&D policy and procedures as well as firmwide and India specific business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to global L&D processes, timelines, and governance structures for the successful delivery of training programs.
- Lead the execution of training programs across multiple delivery formats, including live on-site instructor-led training as well as webinars. Oversee logistics planning to ensure efficient and seamless execution of learning events.
- Facilitate and lead select train-the-trainer sessions for our India based trainers under the guidance and direction of global L&D leadership.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings between global L&D leadership and the India Talent team to review participant feedback and course evaluations.
- Recommend improvements to enhance program effectiveness and impact.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in learning and development, training program management, or talent development
- Minimum Bachelors degree required
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale training programs
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Big 4 or a large national, or U.S.-based accounting firm
- Diploma or certificate from India Society for Training and Development (either PGP T-L&D or Certified Train the Trainer)
- Experience supporting professional services or audit and tax technical training programs
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual learning platforms
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles
- Self-starter with the ability to implement and manage processes and programs independently
