Then, Spiceworks Ziff Davis has just the right role for you! We’re looking for a Product Manager to partner with business, data and development teams to enable products & platforms that drive our organization’s revenue generation and its operations.
What you’ll do: As a SWZD - Product Manager you will identify, document, prioritize, and communicate the work that our engineering teams need to deliver based on quantifiable value to the business teams. This role will focus on our Media Products (ad tech & programmatic, marketing data and revenue generation operations).
What will be your responsibilities?
  • Strategic Vision: Own and drive product vision, strategies, and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals, identifying significant opportunities, and ensuring the advertising products are industry leading
  • Innovation Leadership: Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, or products
  • Analytical Skills: Utilize SQL-based tools to extract insights from data and collaborate with data science and analytics teams
  • Technical Problem Solving: Partner effectively with operations and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver impactful projects
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, confidently engaging in technical discussions, driving consensus, and clearly communicating delivery timelines, trade-offs, and risks to senior management
  • Collaborate: Work with media sales and ad ops teams to design, deliver, and iterate, and support business sales team meeting revenue targets
  • Product Lifecycle: Navigate the entire product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into requirements, prioritizing tasks, and executing pre- and post-launch
  • Attention to Detail: Combine great attention to detail with a holistic perspective, effectively prioritizing competing needs and providing clear guidance to teams and partners
  • Partnerships: Identify, vet and manage DMP, DSP and data partnerships to improve the advertising tech stack and overall product offering
  • Iterate: Work closely across stakeholders to quickly prove or disprove opportunities through rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and MVP delivery. Balance validation activities with long term vision designed to scale and meet company revenue targets.
What does it take to do this job?

  • Experience: over 3-5 years of specialized Product Manager experience in advertising technology, with expertise in ad server configurations and supply-side yield optimization strategies
  • A record of delivering initiatives from concept through completion, preferably media solutions that offer guidance and recommendations to advertisers
  • Exposure to marketing services, display and ad tech, data management & analytics is preferred
  • Having worked with large teams on multitude of projects with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into impactful outcomes
  • Be humble and conscious that not all good ideas are yours, and not all ideas are good. Don’t be afraid to experiment, fail fast and cheap
  • Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in business, science or engineering
