The Opportunity

Join our GTO (Global Technology and Operations) division as an Engineering Manager where youll lead a dynamic team of 20 engineers specializing in web applications, Java-based microservices, and AI-powered features within the payments domain. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical strategy and delivery excellence whilst building secure, scalable, and compliant financial technology solutions in our Pune office.

Experience : 11 to 20 Years

Location : Pune

Mandatory Skill : Hands on coding (Java)+ Leadership skill .

Mode of working : Hybrid

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 20+ engineers across frontend, backend, and AI/ML specializations, managing performance and career development

• Define technical roadmap and architecture for web applications and Java-based microservices in the payments domain

• Drive AI/ML initiatives for payments, fraud detection, and risk assessment whilst ensuring compliance with industry standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions

• Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and maintain high code quality standards

• 11-20 years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in people management or team leadership roles

• Strong expertise in Java (Spring/Spring Boot), modern frontend technologies (React), and microservices architecture

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation in production environments, particularly in payments or fintech

• Deep understanding of payments ecosystem, compliance requirements (PCI DSS, KYC/AML), and security best practices

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical projects in regulated environments
