Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be the driving force behind the operational excellence and strategic execution of our business in Nigeria. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth. This role requires close collaboration with department heads, executive leadership, and external stakeholders to align operational strategies with the company's overall vision. Your leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and the achievement of key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance for the Nigerian market.
- Oversee all operational departments, including sales, project management, and business operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the execution of key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to the executive team.
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue targets.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful operational strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Proven leadership skills with the capacity to build, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
- Exceptional P&L management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian business environment and regulatory landscape.
- Experience in sales strategy development and implementation.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
