Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop bespoke and automated analytics to support data-driven decisions across marketing, product, and content teams.
- Build data products that:
- Measure and optimise acquisition efforts
- Fuel growth and drive conversion
- Increase engagement, improve retention
- Maximise Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
- Apply a variety of machine learning techniques to:
- Personalise customer communications at scale
- Increase impact and efficiency of marketing
- Enable data-driven decisions in content creation, acquisition, and scheduling by:
- Predicting content appeal and popularity
- Calculating content similarity
- Creating algorithmic genre classifications
- Own ML algorithms, track and improve their performance, and maintain a library of ML solutions
- Collaborate with the Data Management & Engineering team to:
- Automate ML processes
- Set up ML pipelines in production
- Ensure data accuracy and improve data quality
- Design and execute A/B tests and conduct causal analysis
- Manage independent projects, set your own timelines, and work autonomously
- Act as a data advocate, enhance data literacy across teams, and guide stakeholders
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindsetown your work and identify new analytics opportunities
- Influence and shape the Advanced Analytics roadmap

- Solid experience in an analytics or data science role
- Extensive SQL expertise essential for handling large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other statistical tools like R or SAS
- Experience with machine learning techniques that drive commercial results

- Strong grasp of statistical concepts and advanced techniques, such as:
- Regression analysis
- Dimension reduction methods
- k-NN, SVM, Decision Forests
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical experimentation
- Production-grade scripting and data pipeline development
- Preferred: Hands-on with BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Background in streaming, entertainment, or subscription-based services is a strong plus
- Excellent communicationable to convey findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong focus on impact, customer experience, and business growth
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and tackle challenging problems independently
