Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead Agile execution and delivery across complex, cloud-native engineering initiatives that power our geolocation and compliance platforms. This role reports to the VP of Engineering and works closely with Product Managers, Senior and Lead Engineers, Frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps/SRE teams to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
As a senior member of the delivery organization, you will also partner closely with the CTO, providing clear, concise, and actionable updates on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identifying issues and driving resolution across teams.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will exemplify these principles by driving execution clarity, improving delivery maturity, and ensuring leadership has accurate, decision-ready visibility into progress and risk.
You Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
6+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, or Engineering Program Manager
Proven experience leading Agile delivery for complex backend, frontend, and platform teams
Strong technical fluency in Java-based systems, microservices, and API-driven architectures
Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with AWS-native services, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines
Demonstrated success managing large, cross-functional initiatives with multiple dependencies
Strong analytical, organisational, and risk-management skills
Excellent communication skills with engineers, product leaders, and executives
High level of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline
Preferred Skills
Experience in regulated industries (iGaming, sports betting, fintech, payments)
Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tooling
Startup or high-growth environment experience
Experience coordinating production releases, incident response, and operational readiness
Agile or Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP)
Job Responsibilities:
Own and drive Agile delivery and sprint execution across multiple engineering teams
Plan, facilitate, and optimize Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to define clear sprint goals, priorities, acceptance criteria, and delivery commitments
Track and analyze sprint metrics including velocity, capacity, burndown, and predictability
Identify systemic delivery issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Lead delivery of complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives involving cloud-native Java services, APIs, frontend applications, and platform capabilities
Translate product and architectural requirements into structured delivery plans, milestones, and timelines
Manage dependencies and sequencing across backend, frontend, QA, infrastructure, and security teams

Partner with QA to align test strategy, automation, and release readiness criteria
Coordinate release planning, environment readiness, change management, and production rollouts
Ensure CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness requirements are integrated into delivery plans
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, and regulatory risks
Drive clarity around definition of done, quality gates, and compliance checkpoints
Ensure deliverables meet performance, reliability, security, and regulatory standards
Support incident response coordination, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
Provide clear, concise, and actionable delivery updates to the VP of Engineering and CTO
Surface risks, trade-offs, and dependency impact early with data-driven recommendations
Maintain delivery dashboards, executive summaries, and decision logs
Enable informed leadership decisions through accurate and timely delivery insights
Continuously improve Agile delivery processes across engineering, QA, and platform teams
Establish and track delivery metrics such as lead time, cycle time, predictability, and throughput
Mentor other project managers or delivery leads as the organization scales
Drive adoption of consistent delivery practices across teams
