Team Lead- Property Accounting

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for real estate investment funds. This role involves handling end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate will also contribute to team leadership and collaborate with global stakeholders. Experience in the real estate industry along with expertise in US accounting is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for multiple real estate funds
• Handle accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor payments

• Perform bank and vendor reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Use tools like Yardi, RealPage, and SAP for financial management
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Support team development, training, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in property accounting
• Proficiency in Yardi, RealPage, Appfolio SAP, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of AP processes, reconciliations, and reporting
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Prior experience in mentoring or leading teams is a plus
