Job Description
Purpose of the Role
You will play a pivotal role in developing and supporting the execution of pricing strategies for our flagship Brands, including KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger in markets around the world.
You will be responsible for formulating and translating data analysis from research and analytics teams into clear, actionable insights for business teams to absorb and execute. To do this you will work with consumer research analysts, data scientists and business analysts.
You will also have the opportunity to work with global cross-functional teams, including brand owners, financial managers and franchise partner teams from Yum markets who are the consumers of our work product and our primary stakeholders.
Engagements for our team take the form of extensive pricing strategy & optimization projects followed by repeat simulations and monitoring. You will own the project deliverables, timelines and support client communication. You will also play a critical role in maintaining the relationship between our team and the key stakeholders in the respective markets.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze seasonal trends, competitor pricing, and macro-economic factors that determine QSR and brand demand in the market. Prepare these as input for the price modelling stage
- Design and execute consumer research for pricing. Analyze output and derive insights that will form the appropriate consumer context for the overall pricing study.
- Design data-driven pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share. In order to do so you will
- Work with data scientists to develop pricing models to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
- Build scenarios appropriate for the business
- Estimate impact on top and bottom line with each scenario and build a case for the most appropriate course of pricing action
- Collaborate with brand and franchise commercial planners to create and implement pricing tests and track performance.
- Partner with franchise teams to ensure successful implementation of pricing strategies
- Post Implementation Support: Monitor and analyze pricing performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to concerned stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters degree in business in Marketing, Economics, or a related field from a reputed institution.
- Overall, 8 - 10 yrs of experience in working in related fields and areas, including merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, consumer insights or related field.
- (2+ years) in pricing strategy and optimization, preferably within the fast-food industry or related sectors.
- Familiarity with advanced pricing analytics, databases and tools and their application to pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with consumer research design, execution and analysis
- Excellent project management abilities, with a track record of working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Requirements
- Cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively with teams from different regions and backgrounds.
- Understanding franchise business models and experience collaborating with franchisees is a plus.
