Job Description

As a Head Waiter / Captain at our esteemed restaurant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and a delightful dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include supervising and guiding the waitstaff to provide outstanding service, greeting guests warmly, accurately taking orders, and ensuring prompt service delivery. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper table setup, cleanliness, and overall ambiance of the dining area.

In addition to overseeing the service operations, you will assist in training new waitstaff members, uphold service quality standards, and address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner. Collaboration with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless service flow, upselling menu items, recommending dishes, and monitoring staff performance will be integral parts of your role. It is essential to maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
The ideal candidate for this position should have proven experience as a Head Waiter / Captain in a restaurant or hospitality setting, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities are a must, along with the capability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively. Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, a friendly and well-groomed appearance, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are also required.
