Accountant

Zahr Freighters, a leading logistics and freight forwarding company based in Dubai, is looking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to support our finance department. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and maintaining general ledgers. The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, assisting with audits, and ensuring VAT compliance in accordance with UAE regulations. The successful candidate should have a clear understanding of accounting principles and practices and be comfortable using accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data with accuracy and integrity.

Applicants must hold a bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and have a minimum of 2 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the logistics or supply chain sector. A strong command of MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP is expected. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential attributes for success in this role.
