What You’ll Do in This Role to Add Value
We are looking for an accountable and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to make meaningful contributions to our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have flexibility, cross-functional communication skills, and an ability to adapt and grow independently in the team-oriented and innovation-focused culture of Zaloni. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end financial close. This position will report directly to our Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day accounting operations of the company and month-end close activities
Daily review and input of bank activity into accounting system and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
Preparation of general journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards
Preparation of audit and tax schedules requested by external accounting and tax firms
Provide support to annual transfer pricing activities
Fixed asset management, including timely accounting for additions and disposals, calculation of monthly depreciation, and working closely with IT to ensure accurate tracking and tagging of assets
Accounts payable processing, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring accurate coding, timely processing, and compliance with tax authority regulations, including GST compliance
Prepare invoices for services rendered and manage the entire accounts receivable
TDS filing process on a quarterly basis
Prepare GST returns and ensure accurate compliance
Payroll processing along with the filing of all payroll returns
Processing of monthly reimbursement of expenses and doing adequate follow up.
Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis and finance-related projects
Required Skills/Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, Accounting Standards, and Indian generally accepted accounting principles
Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements in accordance with Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013
Working knowledge of Income-tax Act (preparing computation, filing income tax and TDS returns, etc.)
Working knowledge on GST (monthly return filing, compliance and refund claims)
Basic knowledge of FEMA provisions (compliances)
Ability to maintain secretarial records under the Companies Act, 2013, and ensure regulatory filings (annual returns, etc.)
Desired Skills/Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant with two to three (2-3) year of experience/ Semi-qualified CA or M.Com with four to five (4-5) years of experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with multiple accounting systems is a plus
Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Highly organized
Good interpersonal and communication skills
