Inbound Marketing Lead

Role Summary:
The Inbound Marketing Lead is responsible for attracting and converting website visitors into qualified leads, with a mandate to meet quarterly traffic growth and pipeline generation targets. This role collaborates with a third-party consultant on content strategy and SEO to ensure cohesive and results-driven inbound marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of inbound marketing principles, data-driven campaign optimization, social media management, content distribution, and SEO, with proven experience in B2B SaaS companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Quarterly Growth Targets
- Set and achieve specific traffic growth and pipeline targets each quarter in alignment with overall business goals.
- Use analytics and reporting tools to proactively track performance, identify gaps, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Communicate progress and results to key stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Content Strategy & Collaboration
- Partner with an external content consultant to audit the existing content strategy and brainstorm new content initiatives that drive traffic and conversions.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and strategic release of content.
- Provide feedback on content performance and propose improvements based on data insights.
Distribution Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute a robust distribution plan for all published content (e.g., social media, newsletters, syndication).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, sales, design) to align marketing materials and promotional efforts.
- Monitor engagement metrics to refine distribution methods and maximize reach.
Social Media Management
- Plan and implement social media strategies across relevant platforms to complement inbound marketing efforts.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging social content that aligns with brand messaging and campaign objectives.
- Monitor social conversations, respond to inquiries or comments, and foster positive online community engagement.
- Track social media metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions) and use insights to optimize ongoing strategies.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Growth
- Implement inbound campaigns (e.g., gated content, webinars, email sequences) to drive an increase in leads and pipeline on a quarterly basis.
- Optimize landing pages, CTAs, and lead capture forms to improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with sales to ensure lead quality, proper follow-up, and lead scoring methodology.
SEO Auditing & Tracking
- Work closely with the third-party consultant to continually audit SEO efforts and track keyword rankings.
- Conduct ongoing keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO recommendations to boost organic search visibility.
- Leverage SEO analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz) to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Analytics & Metrics Management
- Monitor and analyze leading metrics (e.g., website traffic, conversion rates, pipeline velocity) to measure campaign effectiveness and progress toward quarterly goals.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Use data insights to optimize campaigns and recommend new tactics for scalable growth.
Marketing Automation & Email Campaigns
- Use marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) to segment audiences, nurture leads, and implement automated workflows.
- Create and optimize email sequences designed to engage and convert leads at different stages of the buyers journey.
- Analyze email campaign performance to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with sales, product, design, and other marketing team members to ensure consistent messaging and campaign objectives.
- Share learnings, insights, and best practices with the broader team for continuous improvement.

- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in inbound marketing, content marketing, and SEO.
Qualification and Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 46 years of hands-on experience in inbound marketing, content marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving website traffic and generating a robust sales pipeline in B2B SaaS companies.

- Experience with SEO best practices, keyword research, on-page and technical audits, and A/B testing for conversion optimization.
- Working knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and email marketing platforms.
