Job Description
- As a QA/Test Engineer within our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for AI-powered applications hosted on AWS. Your role will involve validating data pipelines (ETL/ELT, streaming, batch) for correctness, completeness, and performance, as well as ensuring the quality of AI/ML workflows including model training, inference, fine-tuning, and retraining pipelines.
You will be expected to conduct various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing for our cloud-based applications. Creating automated test frameworks for APIs, microservices, and AWS Lambda functions will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing continuous testing practices within our CI/CD pipelines to maintain high-quality standards.
Collaboration with data engineers, ML engineers, and solution architects will be essential to ensure end-to-end system quality. Monitoring production systems and validating results against expected business/AI outcomes will also be part of your daily tasks. Documenting test results, defects, and providing feedback for process improvements will help us maintain and enhance the overall quality of our applications.
To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-7 years of QA/testing experience, depending on the seniority level. Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices is essential, along with proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation purposes. Experience in testing cloud-native applications on AWS, including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, ECS, and DynamoDB, will be highly beneficial.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CodePipeline is required. An understanding of data validation and data quality frameworks like Great Expectations and Deequ will also be advantageous for this role.
