Job Description
- As an experienced Senior Software Engineer joining the Data Protection team at Zscaler, you will be a key contributor to the development of a large-scale distributed system. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in developing and owning components of the system with a focus on scalability. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues with a keen eye for detail, collaborating with Operations and Support teams to ensure the optimal performance of the cloud infrastructure, and ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess 4 to 7 years of experience in Software Development, proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, a solid understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures, and familiarity with fundamental networking concepts like TCP/IP and HTTP(S). Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix and a good grasp of distributed systems are also essential qualifications for this position.
Additionally, experience in developing large, maintainable software product architectures, strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, and a BS/MS degree in computer science or a related field will make you stand out as a preferred candidate for this role.
