Job Description
- As an Embedded Device Testing Engineer for Abbott, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded devices through comprehensive testing processes. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing detailed test cases, performing manual testing for embedded systems, managing all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and conducting in-depth failure analysis to identify root causes of issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough test coverage and execute regression testing to maintain software stability. Additionally, you will apply programming skills in C or C++ for whitebox testing efforts, work closely with development teams to validate software at the code level, and integrate unit testing into the development workflow. Your strong communication skills will be essential in interacting effectively with stakeholders and contributing as an individual performer across all testing phases.
To excel in this role, you must have proven experience in embedded device manual testing and whitebox/unit testing, along with practical knowledge of C/C++ programming and communication protocols like I2C and SPI. Hands-on experience in regulated environments such as medical, automotive, or aerospace sectors is highly desirable. Your ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong oral communication skills, and proficiency in technical documentation are key competencies required for this position.,
