Supply Chain Design & Operations Role - D2C/Online/Retail

Supply Chain & Design and Procurement:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.
• Build and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times and commercial terms.
• Improve procurement efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Product Development & Design Coordination:

• Coordinate with design, product and manufacturing teams to translate concepts into production-ready products.
• Manage artwork, packaging development and design approvals.
• Work with external design agencies and packaging vendors.
• Drive new product launches from sampling to commercialization.

Inventory & Operations:

• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock planning.
• Forecast procurement requirements based on sales trends.
• Reduce stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Improve warehouse and supply chain processes.

Vendor Management:

• Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Drive cost optimization without compromising quality.
• Ensure supplier compliance with company standards.

Process Improvement:

• Build scalable SOPs for procurement and operations.
• Implement dashboards and reporting for key supply chain metrics.
• Work closely with founders to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive automation wherever possible.

Required Skills:

• 58 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations or Product Development.
• Experience working with startups, D2C brands or consumer products is highly preferred.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing packaging development and production coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
