The key objective of this role is to support Ocean Product Development team as a Finance Business Partner, to provide insights and foresight that enables the function to consistently create value for our customers and shareholders besides driving financial performance in an organizational area by providing leadership, guidance and support on financial information, business performance and implementation of strategies


A successful candidate will collaborate with Ocean Product Development business and finance team, accounting, group data analytics teams, regional FBP’s to deliver financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and lead process improvements that enhance transparency, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.
 

In addition, you will: -

  • Be a Trusted Business Partner (for Fuel,  Surcharges and Ocean Add Ons)

  • Create value as a trusted finance business partner by owning key performance indicators and turning data into insights for the business to objectively view their performance.

  • Understand the business and help decision makers create impact by maintaining integrity.

  • Take an active part in the global business partnering forums thereby ensuring that best practices are shared and applied in order to constantly raise the bar for value adding Finance Business Partnering.

  • Performance Management- Based on standardized operating system, act as a facilitator to analyze, challenge and improve performance and provide variance analysis.

  • Drive Projects and Process Improvement- Provide input and review of investment cases, business process improvement and other projects and ensure compliance with global requirements.

  • Work across segments, FP&A and FBP teams informing, analyzing and challenging business performance.

  • Support financial analysis with efficient and clear communication to stakeholders and decision makers.

  • Manages the most complex, large or difficult financial analysis projects.

  • Evaluates findings, prepares reports and makes recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions.

  • Contributes to the development of financial strategies for a division or operating unit that align with the organization’s overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.

  • Establishes and maintains positive, ongoing relationships with the business stakeholder.

Required Experience & Skill :

  • Master’s and bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Performance Management roles.

  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with complex datasets and derive insights

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis, modelling, and executive reporting

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

  • Exposure to BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and financial systems is an added advantage

  • Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and influence decision-making in a matrix environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify complex financial information for senior leadership

  • Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced, dynamic environments with strong ownership mindset and continuous improvement orientation.

  • HQ & Regional Ocean Product Development business stakeholder, and Head of Finance –VAS, D&D & Prism, Regional FBP’s and Global FPNA Team
