Job Summary
The Optometrist is responsible for conducting eye examinations, identifying vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing appropriate eye care guidance to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct eye examinations and vision tests.
- Perform refraction and prescribe corrective lenses.
- Identify vision problems and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.
- Assist patients in selecting suitable spectacles and contact lenses.
- Explain eye test results and provide basic eye care advice.
- Operate and maintain optometry equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescriptions.
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists and other hospital staff.
- Ensure quality patient care and a good patient experience.
Required Qualification
- Bsc.Optometry

- Knowledge of optometry and refraction.
- Good communication and patient counselling skills.
- Ability to operate eye testing equipment.
- Patient care and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and coordination.
- Attention to detail and professionalism.
