Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. Participates in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Power & Smart Buildings Business to be based at Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Installation, Testing & Commissioning – Install, test, commission, and maintain electrical equipment, panels, drives, and control systems while ensuring first-time-right execution.
Fault Diagnosis & Technical Support – Diagnose electrical faults using drawings, control wiring diagrams, and testing instruments; identify defective components and coordinate repair or replacement.
Customer Service & Complaint Resolution – Attend customer complaints, provide timely on-site/remote technical support, resolve issues within agreed timelines, and ensure a positive customer experience and retention.
Service Documentation & Resource Management – Prepare service, inspection, and maintenance reports; create material lists; ensure availability of tools, spare parts, and equipment; and maintain accurate technical records.
Safety, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Ensure all service activities comply with safety and technical standards, coordinate with production, design, sales, and technical teams, provide basic customer/operator training, and help identify service improvements.
Qualifications for the role:
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical service, maintenance, installation, testing, or commissioning.
Practical experience in electrical equipment, panels, drives, and control systems.
Solid ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
Solid skills in electrical fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, testing, and preventive maintenance.
Good knowledge of service tools, testing instruments, spare parts management, and technical documentation.

Good communication, customer-service, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with a willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
