Technical Head – Technical Support & Advisory We are hiring a Chartered Accountant for the position of Technical Head with an accounting and taxation software company based in Surat, Gujarat. Role: Technical Head – Technical Support & Advisory Location: Surat, Gujarat Experience: 2–3 years Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per month Working Hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Requirements 1. CA – Research & Analysis | Product Research & Functional QA ROLE SUMMARY A Chartered Accountant with strong practical experience in accounting and taxation software, working closely with the Product and Development team. The role covers technical research, product improvement, competitor software analysis and functional QA, all from an accounting and taxation perspective KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Research accounting, GST, TDS, inventory and taxation requirements for new product features. • Explore and evaluate other accounting and taxation software to identify useful features and industry best practices. • Suggest new features and improvements to the product based on practical accounting requirements. • Perform functional QA and testing of accounting, GST, taxation, inventory and reporting features before release. • Verify accounting entries, calculations, reports and compliance logic for accuracy. • Identify functional gaps, edge cases and incorrect accounting or tax treatments. • Work closely with the Product, Development and QA teams to explain accounting and taxation requirements. • Stay updated with changes in GST, TDS, Income Tax and other relevant regulations. REQUIREMENTS • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–3 years of experience. • Strong practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, taxation and inventory. • Hands-on experience with accounting or taxation software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, Marg or similar platforms. • Strong analytical and research skills. • Ability to test software from an accountant's and a business user's perspective. • Interest in technology, SaaS and product development 2. Technical Head – Technical Support & Advisory Role Summary A Chartered Accountant who handles and resolves the technical accounting and taxation queries raised by customers. The role works closely with the Customer Support and Product teams and is the escalation point for queries that need professional knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, TDS and inventory. Key Responsibilities • Resolve customer queries related to accounting, GST, TDS, TCS, inventory and taxation. • Guide customers on correct accounting treatment and on using the software for complex transactions. • Support the Customer Support team in resolving technical accounting and compliance-related queries. • Train and guide support team members to improve their accounting and taxation knowledge. • Analyse recurring customer queries and help create FAQs, SOPs and knowledge resources for the support team. • Coordinate with the Product and Development team where customer queries call for product changes or improvements. • Keep the team updated on important changes in GST, TDS and other applicable tax and compliance provisions. Requirements • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–3 years of experience. • Strong practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS and inventory. • Good communication and problem-solving skills. • Comfortable interacting directly with customers. • Ability to explain complex accounting and taxation concepts in simple language. • Interest in technology and accounting software is an advantage.
