Job Description
Key Roles And Responsibilities
This position would be responsible for accounting of all the Freight expenses incurred at all the Zones of the company.
- To co-ordinate with all the Zonal/BU Finance Teams and get the physical copies of the bills submitted by the transporters.
- Have a tracker for all the movement of physical invoice copies from Zonal/BU Finance teams.
- Check the physical bills/invoices submitted by the transporter with the movement of material (Stock Transfers/Sales/Sales Returns), agreed rates for the service received and do accounting for the same with correct GL Account, Cost Centre. Communicate with respective Zonal/BU Finance/Transporter on clarifications, if any.
- Ensure correct details are captured with respect to indirect taxes and withholding taxes.

- Get the payments done to the transporters based on the bills/invoices submitted and accounted for as per agreed payment terms. Communicate back on the bill settlement to respective vendors. Have tracking of bills received, accounted and settled.
- Provide monthly provision of the amounts which are incurred and not accounted for by Cost Centre.
- Analysis of the freight expenditure and comparison with Previous Year and Budget by Cost Centre along with average rate per tonne per Km by zone/region, compare efficiencies between zone/region.
