Portfolio Manager

Job description / Role

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced portfolio manager to lead and optimize our asset portfolio in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of multiple assets, drive PMO excellence, implement governance frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives that maximize value and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement portfolio management strategies for asset optimization
• Lead PMO processes including governance, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking of the asset portfolio
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement to ensure project alignment
• Monitor portfolio performance metrics and provide regular reporting and actionable insights
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting portfolio objectives
• Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes across the PMO
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance portfolio delivery and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and industry standards in Dubai
• Manage vendor relationships and contractual agreements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field
• 10–12 years of progressive experience in portfolio management and asset management
• Proven expertise in leading PMO functions and governance frameworks
• Demonstrated track record managing large-scale asset portfolios
• Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and analytical skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities
• Experience working in Dubai or the wider MENA region
• Ability to drive performance in cross-functional and multicultural environments

Preferred qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, or PgMP certification
• Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant discipline
• Certification in asset management (e.g., IAM, ISO 55000)
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or industrial asset portfolios
• Familiarity with ERP, portfolio management, and PMO tools
