Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer (Staff / Sr. Staff level) to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through robust manual and automated testing strategies. You will lead testing efforts across multiple releases and contribute to the ongoing improvement of test processes and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test plans and test cases.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and contribute to building and maintaining the automation framework.

Support the team in creating and managing test data, system test plans, regression test plans, and documenting test results.

Perform detailed manual and exploratory testing to validate new features and complex workflows.

Review and monitor application/database logs and collaborate with developers for quick issue resolution.

Provide clear and actionable test sign-offs for releases based on defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.

Ensure adherence to all compliance, quality assurance, and SDLC processes throughout the testing lifecycle.

Raise risks and issues impacting release timelines, product quality, or testing efficiency to the Development Manager.

Evaluate and suggest improvements in testing tools, automation practices, and performance testing techniques.

Drive QA initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 12 years of hands-on experience in QA, preferably in mid-to-large enterprise environments.

Strong proficiency in test automation using Playwright.

Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to validate backend data and perform data integrity checks.

Experience with Playwright for web automation is a strong plus.

Understanding of performance testing tools and concepts (Nice to Have).

In-depth knowledge of QA processes, test strategies, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document clearly and concisely.

Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision.
