About the Role
Join us as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Align, responsible for a regulatory compliance platform that manages product, part, and supplier chemical data across Internal and Supplier Portals. Youll help evolve a modern web platform that enables compliant product development and supplier collaboration, with strong focus on quality, security, and scalability.
Role expectations
What Youll Do (Responsibilities)
- Build and enhance web applications using React + Next.js with clean, reusable components and optimized UX.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (REST APIs, integrations, business workflows).
- Translate complex regulatory and business workflows into well-designed UI + API solutions (approvals, notifications, dashboards, multi-supplier logic).
- Own end-to-end delivery: design, implementation, code review, testing, release support, and production troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps to refine requirements, shape solutions, and ensure smooth delivery.
- Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive supplier and compliance data.
- Improve performance, observability, and maintainability of the system through refactoring and technical improvements.
- Mentor other engineers and raise engineering standards across the team (quality, testing, code hygiene).
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Frontend
- Strong experience building modern web apps with React and Next.js
- Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (ES6+), HTML/CSS
- Experience with UI libraries (e.g., Material UI or Bootstrap) and responsive design
- Frontend testing experience (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
Backend
- Strong experience with Node.js backend development (REST APIs, middleware, authentication/authorization)
- Good understanding of microservice-style architecture and API design best practices
- Experience documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
Engineering Practices
- Strong in unit testing, code reviews, and delivering production-quality code
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps ways of working
- Comfortable with Agile delivery (Jira/Confluence)
Data / Systems
- Working knowledge of SQL basics and general database concepts (schema, queries, data validation)
- Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (RBAC preferred)
- Experience with AWS and containerization (Docker); OpenShift exposure is a plus
- Experience with code quality/security tooling (SonarQube, SAST tools like Veracode)
- Experience with performance testing/monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter-equivalent concepts)
- Experience working in a regulated domain (healthcare, compliance, audit-heavy environments)
- Basic Unix/Linux scripting skills
