Senior Legal Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Legal to lead and manage the legal function for Allens business operations across Delhi NCR, UP, J&K, Punjab & Haryana. The role requires a seasoned legal professional with strong expertise in real estate laws, contract management, litigation, and statutory compliance, capable of providing strategic legal guidance while safeguarding the organizations interests.

This role involves extensive travel across the assigned territory to support legal matters, attend court proceedings, coordinate with authorities, and provide on-ground legal support to business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Management

• Handle and supervise all civil, criminal, consumer, and regulatory litigation matters across the assigned territory.
• Coordinate with external counsels, monitor case progress, and ensure timely resolution of disputes.
• Draft and review legal notices, replies, affidavits, pleadings, and legal opinions.
• Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, arbitrators and regulatory authorities as required.
• Travel frequently within the territory to attend hearings and manage local legal matters.

Real Estate Legal & Contract Management

• Manage legal due diligence of land and property transactions.
• Draft, review, vet, and negotiate real estate documents including Lease Agreements, Leave & License Agreements, MoUs etc.
• Review title documents and assess legal risks in property transactions.
• Ensure legal enforceability and risk mitigation in all property-related contracts.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with applicable:
• Real estate laws
• Labour laws
• Local municipal regulations
• Other Statutory Compliance
• Liaise with government bodies and regulatory authorities across locations.

Stakeholder Advisory

• Partner with business leaders to provide proactive legal advice.
• Support regional expansion and business initiatives from a legal perspective.

Candidate Profile

Education

• LLB / LLM from a reputed Law College/University

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with a reputed organization, preferably in:
• Real estate
• Infrastructure
• Education
• Large corporate organizations
• Manufacturing

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• Real Estate laws
• Contract law
• Statutory Compliance
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Proficiency in executive dashboard and MIS reporting
• Ability to manage multiple jurisdictions within the territory
• Proficiency in English and Hindi
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel across assigned territory.
