: Engineer - Digital Automation (Installation & Project Execution)

Role Overview

Digital Automation is responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end automation and digitalization projects, with a strong focus on installation, system integration, and on-site project handling. This role bridges traditional industrial automation with digital technologies such as IoT, data analytics, and smart systems to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Coordination

• Execute digital automation projects from planning to commissioning and handover
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, IT, operations) and external vendors
• Track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Oversee installation of digital automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, IIoT devices, and edge systems
• Ensure proper integration between automation systems and digital platforms

3. Digital Integration & Implementation

• Support deployment of IoT platforms, cloud connectivity, and data acquisition systems
  
• Integrate shop-floor systems with MES, ERP, or cloud-based applications

4. Technical Support

• Provide hands-on support for PLC/SCADA programming and debugging

5. Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with clients and stakeholders for project updates and issue resolution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Computer Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience in industrial or digital automation with project handling exposure
• Experience in installation and commissioning of automation or digital systems

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
• Exposure to IIoT platforms, edge computing, and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
• Basic understanding of databases, networking, and cybersecurity concepts
• Experience with MES/ERP integration is an advantage

• Ability to work in dynamic project environments

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-vendor environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in IoT, cloud platforms, or automation systems
• Exposure to Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or digital twin technologies
• Experience in industries such as manufacturing, energy, FMCG, or infrastructure
