Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity Universitys Ranchi campus in Jharkhand for an Associate Professor of Computer Science/Information Technology. The Associate Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, ensuring curriculum relevance to current industry and research trends in computer science and IT. Daily activities include lecturing, conducting tutorials and labs, mentoring students, supervising projects and dissertations, and evaluating student performance. The role involves leading and participating in research activities, publishing in peer-reviewed venues, and seeking external funding where appropriate. The Associate Professor will also contribute to departmental administration, academic quality initiatives, collaborations with industry, and outreach that strengthens the universitys academic and professional network.

Qualifications

• Strong academic and practical expertise in core Computer Science domains, including algorithms, systems, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to design, review, and improve Curriculum Development for Computer Science and Information Technology programs.
• Proficiency in Data Science concepts and tools, with experience applying data analysis or machine learning in teaching or research.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks relevant to modern IT environments.
• Advanced Programming skills in relevant languages and paradigms, with experience guiding students in software development projects.
• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Information Technology.
• Demonstrated record of research, publications, and academic contributions in reputed journals and conferences.
• Experience in university-level teaching, student mentoring, and academic advising, preferably at the Associate Professor or equivalent level.
• Ability to integrate industry trends into coursework and foster collaborations with industry partners.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
