Role Description The Professor of Finance will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in finance and related areas to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, designing assessments, supervising projects and dissertations, and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role involves conducting and publishing research in finance, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in departmental and university committees. The Professor will engage with industry stakeholders, support internships and placements, and promote collaborative initiatives that enhance learners corporate readiness. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity University in Ranchi.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in core Finance and Corporate Finance.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Accounting for financial decision-making.
• Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Economics and related analytical frameworks.
• Candidates should possess proven Research capabilities, including scholarly publications in recognized journals.
• Doctorate (PhD) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Significant teaching experience in higher education, preferably at the postgraduate level, with evidence of effective pedagogy.
• Experience developing curricula, designing course content, and using technology-enabled teaching tools.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to institutional initiatives, and uphold inclusive, learner-centered practices.
• Industry exposure, consulting experience, or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CA) are advantageous.
