Job Summary:
We are seeking a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in Direct Tax compliance and tax litigation. The role involves handling assessments, appeals, representations before tax authorities, and advisory support on direct tax matters. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to litigation processes and strong technical knowledge of Indian direct tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Direct Tax compliance including computation of income and return filing.
- Manage Income Tax assessments, scrutiny proceedings, and departmental audits.
- Prepare and file appeals, submissions, replies, and written representations.
- Represent clients before Income Tax Authorities, CIT(A), ITAT, and other forums (as applicable).
- Draft legal submissions, case laws, and technical notes.
- Provide advisory support on direct tax planning and structuring.
- Coordinate with clients and counsel for litigation matters.
- Stay updated with amendments, circulars, and judicial pronouncements under the Income-tax Act.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 35 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Tax & Litigation.
- Strong knowledge of the Income-tax Act, Rules, and judicial precedents.
- Hands-on experience in assessments, appeals, and litigation support.
- Good drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills.
- Strong communication and client-handling abilities.
