JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Hepatologist
Qualification: MBBS, MD (Medicine / Paediatrics), DM (Hepatology / Gastroenterology)
Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage liver-related disorders (acute, chronic, viral, autoimmune, metabolic)
- Pre- and post-operative care for liver transplant patients
- Oversee interventional hepatology procedures (biopsies, variceal banding, TIPS)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for liver failure and transplant management
- Ensure adherence to national and international hepatology and gastroenterology guidelines
- Participate in teaching, research, and development of hepatology protocols
Experience: Fresher 15+ years (depending on hospital requirements)
