Leader - Product Development & Innovation - Manufacturing Firm

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving product innovation, new product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Candidates with a PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Paper Technology, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines will be preferred.
• 14-18 years of experience in Product Development, R&D, Product Engineering, Innovation, or Technical Development within manufacturing organizations.

• Proven track record of leading new product development and commercialization projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, product validation, supplier development, and product lifecycle management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and leadership capabilities.

• Candidates must be from Consumer Paper Products, Paper & Paperboards, Printing, Packaging, Writing Instruments, Consumer Products, Specialty Materials, Ink Manufacturing, Polymer & Material Science, or other allied manufacturing industries with experience in product innovation and new product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end product development from concept generation to commercialization.
• Drive innovation, premiumization, and new product introduction initiatives.
• Develop product roadmaps based on market trends, consumer insights, and business priorities.
• Lead prototyping, product validation, testing, and successful commercialization.
• Partner with Manufacturing to ensure technical feasibility, quality, cost optimization, and scalable production.
• Drive material innovation, supplier development, and sustainability initiatives.
• Build strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects within timelines and quality standards.
