Market Risk Manager

Job Overview:
This job role will require the incumbent to lead the development, review, and implementation of market risk policies, standards, and governance frameworks. Ensure market risks arising from trading and banking activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with the organization's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance market risk policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as Basel/FRTB and internal risk management policies.
- Oversee market risk exposures across trading and banking portfolios, including interest rate, FX, credit, equity, and commodity risks.
- Review and challenge risk measurement methodologies, stress testing, and risk limits.
- Monitor risk appetite adherence and investigate significant risk events or limit breaches.
- Prepare and present market risk reports, policy recommendations, and governance updates to senior management and risk committees.
- Support new product approvals and assess market risk implications of business initiatives.
- Collaborate with Trading, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, and Regulatory teams on risk-related matters.
- Lead regulatory change implementation and continuous improvement of market risk frameworks.
- Mentor team members and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.
