Senior Data & AI Engineer - Find My

Description

As an engineer on our team, you'll collaborate closely with a passionate team in a startup-like environment to achieve a shared mission. You'll design and build the data pipelines behind Find My services, and the GenAI and agent-based tools that put that data to work for engineering, operations and business partners. Privacy is at the core of Find My, so you'll build with data minimization, aggregation and access controls from day one, and take ideas from prototype to production. You'll partner with product, SRE, privacy and other engineering teams, many of them remote, and contribute to design and code reviews. Your work will directly shape how Find My services scale.

Minimum qualifications

10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in data engineering and applied AI/ML engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects
Experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines (batch, near real-time, real-time) at scale, with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Snowflake, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL
Programming proficiency in Python and Java, and advanced SQL skills including dimensional data modeling
Demonstrated experience building GenAI-powered applications & agents, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search over structured and unstructured data

Preferred qualifications

Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows (planning, memory, tool use, execution loops), including multi-agent systems that coordinate retrieval, reasoning, and action steps, using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
Experience with cloud-native data platforms on AWS, GCP or Azure

Experience with privacy-preserving analytics techniques such as aggregation thresholds or differential privacy
Experience handling sensitive or personal data with privacy controls such as data minimization, anonymization, retention and access policies
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with data governance, lineage, data quality checks and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
* Track record of shipping POCs with AI/ML/GenAI services and taking them to production, while managing ambiguity in a fast-changing, matrixed environment
* Experience with location, device telemetry, or IoT data is a plus
