Job Description
- Review and assess credit proposals submitted by the sales/relationship teams.
- Analyze financial statements, credit history, and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.
- Ensure timely processing of credit applications within defined TATs (Turnaround Times).
- Recommend and approve credit limits within delegated authority.
- Monitor and manage the quality of the loan portfolio of the branch.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify early warning signals and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with collection teams on delinquent accounts and help in recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to risk control measures.
- Train and support sales and operations teams on credit policies and underwriting practices.
- Report periodic credit performance and risk metrics to higher management.
